Technical assistance to The Global Fund Supported Countries

Since 2007, TAI in partnership with Grant Management Solutions (GMS) has provided technical assistance to several countries to help them successfully manage The Global Fund grants to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. The technical supports include ensure Country Coordination Mechanism (CCM) meets Global Fund eligibility requirements, developing funding documents (governance manual, conflict of interest mitigation plan, operations plan, communication strategy, etc.), prepare oversight plan and introduction of Oversight Dashboard, financial management and budget control systems and grant closeout.

Health Projects

In legacy with TAI, the foundation is experienced in implementing community based primary and reproductive health projects in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Kenya, and Uganda.

Humanitarian response to refugees

Since 2006, it has started providing protection and humanitarian support to Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs), commonly known as Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar. TAI is experienced in managing a total of 300 full time, 1000 contractual staff and more than 2300 community volunteers in 22 out of 32 Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.  

Research Projects

TAI is engaged with George Washington University to conduct a baseline study of the Connect project implemented by Save The Children Fund in Noakhali and Madaripur districts. The findings will support policy and program stakeholders to reach more effectively young and adolescent first time mothers and increase postpartum family planning performance.

In collaboration with GAGE consortium, TAISF conducts a midline quantitative survey with a sample size of 2,280 adolescents living in Rohingya refugee camps and host communities in Cox’s Bazar. The survey is aimed at improving the evidence base on what sorts of interventions work to improve the lives of adolescents in the context.

Neer Project

After a devastating cyclone in 2022, TAISF constructed 14 houses for vulnerable women including widows in Moulovibazar. The benefited extreme poor people were unable to reconstruct their houses with their own resources.

Environment and Reforestation Project

Since 2006, it has been engaged in protection of the environment, reforestation, and vegetable gardening activities in all refugee camps. In 2022, TAISF initiated a tree plantation program from its own fund in 5 camps through community engagement.
